Chairman

The position of the chairman consists of providing the overall direction of ‘Essiga lya Ggere Trust’ within the guidelines set up by the ‘Board of Trustees’. It also consists of planning, directing, or coordinating activities at the highest level of management with the help of subordinate committee members.

• To preserve the cultural heritage of ‘Essiga Lya Ggere'.

• To acquire, preserve and develop the assets of the Trust.

• To preserve and protect the environment in Malanga.

• To act as a medium/platform for representation, collaboration and networking among the members.

• To ensure capacity building for members in such areas and skills for members to improve their social and economic status.

• To buy and own land and real property.

• Analyze operations to evaluate the performance of the trust and its committee members in meeting objectives, and to determine areas of potential program improvement.

• Appoint committee members and assign or delegate responsibilities to them.

• Confer with board of trustees and committee members to discuss issues, coordinate activities, and resolve problems.

• Review inputs and suggestions submitted by committee members and other 'Bamalanga' to recommend approval or to suggest changes.
